SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE
I am very excited for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year and the return of our students to these
hallways. The planning and preparation for their arrival is finally over and I look forward to the “sounds of school” as
students return on August 13th to continue their education at New Boston Local Schools. I have missed the noise of
student laughter, community cheers, and staff encouragement echoing throughout our school campus. The wait is
almost over!
This district is a very special place with a long history of helping students reach their full
potential. Academically, my staff is known for “growing” kids. Athletically and through extracurricular activities, our
coaches and advisors teach life skills and the importance of belonging to something that is bigger than
yourself. Our support staff is right there to help every step of the way. As Superintendent, my educational
philosophy is a student-centered approach that identifies student strengths and interests and links them to potential
career choices. Our goal is to help every student chart a path to success doing something they love. From teacher
to janitor and every position in between, my staff is here for you and your child! Education is a tool that, when
matched with hard work, can take a student’s current adversity and convert it into future opportunity.
My staff and I will be pouring this optimistic HOPE into every young Tiger and each student will graduate
knowing they have the ability to create the life they want for themselves. A graduate of New Boston Local Schools
can become a doctor, lawyer, nurse, teacher, or whatever fulfills their goals and dreams! Our kids are capable of
great things! As a result of this approach, our high school will be expanding our science/technology curriculum to
include an exciting DRONE Operations course with a pathway for student industrial certification.
As we start the new school year, I want to personally thank our retirees (Kevin Akers, Sally Lewis, Lillie
Mohr, and Scott Gosselin) for all of their many years of service helping our families. Thank you. Thank you. Thank
you! You are already missed! Unfortunately, several staff members accepted opportunities which allowed them to
work much closer to home. In addition, I also want to personally welcome the following new staff members to the
Tiger family:

And finally, I would like to personally thank you for allowing us to assist your child with their education. My
staff and I will work tirelessly for the students that you have entrusted to us. We do not take that responsibility
